Health ATMs in UP to Strengthen Medical and Diagnostics Facilities at CHCs and PHCs

Though India has made significant advances in healthcare delivery of its populations, huge disparities – access to healthcare in rural areas remain a challenge. For this, India needs to build a strong comprehensive primary healthcare system to accomplish any further advancements in the health status of the population and to reduce these disparities.

And in this direction, Uttar Pradesh Government has leapt to strengthen medical and diagnostics facilities at primary health centres (PHCs) & community health centres (CHCs) by installing Health ATMs. This is indeed one of the desirable steps to fill the massive gap of preventive screening at the primary level.

Health ATM is a touch-screen kiosk, which also addresses the issue of primary healthcare in rural and far-flung places. Moreover, it’s equally important that the ATMs being installed must have scientific validation regarding their functioning and output.

IHL’s Health ATM Screening 50+ Parameters
ECG, BP, Temperature, Pulse, BMC, Visceral Fat, Body Cell Mass, Percentage Body Fat, Body Fat Mass, Weight, Intracellular Water, SPO2, BMI, Waist to Hip Ratio (WHR), Waist to Height Ratio, Skeletal Muscle Mass, Extracellular Water, Basal Metabolic Rate, Bone Mineral Content, Mineral & Protein Content, and up to 50 Tests…

Lauding the Uttar Pradesh government’s move to install Health ATMs across the state to strengthen the healthcare system, especially primary healthcare, Dr Swadeep Srivastava, Co-founder & President of India Health Link (IHL) said, “Of late, Health ATM has emerged as one-stop digital touch-point integrated equipment, providing yeomen services to enrich primary healthcare and diagnostics in rural India. But the quality of health ATM such as its technical construct and scientific validation is also important credentials that ensure to serve the purpose the government has taken for.”

Adding further on the quality of Health ATMs and their optimum utility Dr Srivastava said, “We, at India Health Link have developed a Health ATM, which is unique. The IHL’s Health ATM is an award-winning ‘made in India’ self-service, walk-in Health Pod wherein individuals can get their screening done for 50+ vital health parameters including BP, Weight, SpO2, BMI, BMC, Pulse, Temperature, and ECG etc., within 5 minutes followed by an instant report, without any paramedic assistance. The ‘hPod’ has achieved ITA2008/HIPAA certifications for data privacy, the medical components carry US FDA and CE approvals and are enrolled for QAI certification in India. More importantly, it was customized for Indian needs over 6 years, underwent a year-long comprehensive clinical trial at a tertiary care hospital system, and includes technologies from premium research organizations like Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC).”

“IHL’s Health ATM complements National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) as it creates personalised Health accounts and IDs in line with the ABHA account because in India, out of the 140+ crore population, only 21.9 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs have been created. In Uttar Pradesh, starting the installation of the Health ATMs in Gorakhpur, we have now reached Lucknow, and expanding the Health ATMs installation drive in 10 districts of the state,” added Dr Srivastava

ATMs for healthcare are outfitted with cutting-edge diagnostic equipment for basic vitals, cardiology, neurology, pulmonary tests, clinical diagnostic and life-saving equipment, and emergency services.
